Weekend in Chicago

We all survived the week here; I think I mentioned earlier that Lynne is in Denmark this week. I’ll actually be going to Chicago later this afternoon to collect her but also to stay for the weekend. Randy and Lorraine have kindly agreed to watch the kids all weekend long. Kay has kindly agreed to put us up for the weekend and we’ll be staying at her apartment in Harbor Point Tower, which is literally bang smack in the middle of the city. We are going to hit the town tonight, sample some Chicago food and entertainment and then tomorrow night try getting some ethnic food, possibly even East African if we can find some.

We’ll also get to meet Dave and Emily over the weekend since they now live in the city (Dave is a former PhD student of Lynne’s). We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend in the city, a very cold windy city this time of year. Hope you all have a good weekend too.
