Peek-a-Boo

The highlight of the week here with us has been Isabel’s strep throat. She broke out in quite a nasty rash on her torso and neck mid week after having peanuts. Darn, where did this peanut allergy come from we were thinking, particularly since she has had no previous issues. A doctor’s visit later and she was on antibiotics for strep throat. Who’d have known!!

Although it does feel like spring is arriving, it’s taking its time. We had snow again later in the week. We did manage however to sample some nice weather last weekend in the back garden, the girls were excited about getting the yard chalk out and we even fired up the grill.

I need to start taking more pictures again; I have slacked off a little. I did manage the shot below this morning of the girls in their typical Saturday morning dress-up garb, it's a pity its slightly out of focus since I love Connor’s little head poking round the corner.

Overdue Update

My blog updates have been a little tardy recently; I’m going to try doing better. Since my last post we have lots of very cold, icy weather, which has dominated life here. Lynne actually went out there one day with the girls and made an igloo, which was only possible since we had so much ice on the ground. It’s much warmer, even Anja announced this evening at dinner that she thought it was now spring. I’ve been to California and Washington for a weeklong work trip that was uneventful. We’ve obviously had Valentines Day, I trust and hope you all received “lovely” wishes. The girls made cards of course.

Connor is also now walking around the place very confidently, even starting to run when we wants something.I will be updating a little more often now, so be sure to check back soon.

Mum Reading the Blog

I learned yesterday that I have a new blog reader, my Mum. Over the last few weeks she has taken a computer course and with some help from friends is now emailing us regularly and is checking in on these blog pages. I promised to put a picture up there for her, the one shown below is from when she, Dad and Eilish visited last May. Connor of course looks a little different now!
